    TU women down 14 in 4Q against UTSA and pull out a 4-point win. Impressive.

    Proud of the women. Much better effort than the previous game in terms of energy and focus. Blew a 12-point lead in Q3 but didn't collapse and clawed back for the win.

    This was a frustrating loss to a very beatable team. Sloppy passing and ball handling, and poor shot selection and missed free throws, killed us. There were stretches when the women looked like they had just been introduced to the game this morning.

    How About This Defense

    OK it may have been folly for me to try to pick just two all-time middle or inside linebackers, as we have had so many great ones. Middle linebacker may be historically our strongest defensive position.

    My memory really failed me on Cornell Webster. But, hey, that was nearly 60 years ago. One thing that made this exercise difficult is that TU seems to have had more really good safeties than really good corners. Not to say we haven't had some great corners.
