WSU’s defense held Emporia State to 0.78 points per possession, as the Hornets shot 35% from the field and committed 13 turnovers (for a 19% turnover rate).

Shockers have emphasized defense this summer, as well as three point shooting. Last year Harlond Beverly, Bijan Cortes and Bell combined to shoot 25.7% (44 of 171) on 3-pointers.
