Keep in mind that the Fire Montgomery chants went on here for over 4 years, even during weeks when he won, before he was let go. We don't move too quickly.

That teaches the coach nothing of his team. He went out and did that the first exhibition and won by what?? 40. This one was to find weaknesses. Winning doesnt tell you where you are weak. Would you rather see a rough exhibition that he can go in and fix and not count against us? Or see something bad happen week 2 and we lose because we didnt find anything out in our exhibition and it could have been addressed weeks before?

As active as he's been at the last few minutes of Bournemouth's recent matches, I'd be inclined to bring him on to help preserve a 1 or 2 goal lead. If we're 2 goals down, fuggidaboutit and save him for the return leg.

They tried a couple of years ago but it never caught on. They had a couple of good people running that program too. Unlike BASC, they didn't force their best U11 and up teams into the BA Express competitive program to help build/sustain it.

Interesting that East Carolina, TU's next opponent, canned their coach at 3-4 and then EC won the next week. He was making 2.3 mil supposedly - 1.4 base and rest with incentives.

I see TU possibly winning the final game of the season to go 4-8 again. Obviously, a lot more than just the record. There's no rush for a full match yet. I'd be more inclined to play him with the starters in the 1st half and sub him off at halftime. You need to see what you have with the starters and the chemistry under Poch's system. Adams takes so much pressure off of CBs because he's so good defensively at stopping attacks in the MF.

Agree a bit. But I think the early panic comes from the last several years and not just this exhibition game. But this game brought on the fear of "oh no, we suck again" mentality and I understand it. I know it was "just an exhibition game" and we were maybe trying different things. I even read above someone pointed out that maybe we let it be a close game for more experience. If that is true, we do have the wrong coach again. We should be using these games to get a feel for winning games. Unfortunately to me, it feels like another year of the same. I hope not.
