The fringey social positions are freakout sets by Fox News and Libs of TikTok, and they are really, really good at it. My biggest concern never was porn in school. Playboy existed long before libs of tiktok came to be.

Abortion has passed in virtually every state it was put on the ballot. Hell, it only failed in Florida because it was run as a constitutional amendment and needed 60% to pass. I think it got 59%. Marijuana got LESS.

That's not true. White's did vote for Trump across both sexes. Latinos & Asians, and others made gains for Trump, but still did not vote for him. He made no real movement one way or the other with blacks. But the total's had Trump still leading with White's, and losing with other races. I took this at face value, then I looked at figures.

If you dig in it just reinforces how economic perceptions seem to be driving things.

You have to be cautious about it though. How much is the real economy and how much is the echo chamber effect that is further amplified and well harnessed by Trump?

No doubt prices are higher and people feel it. And that is not going to revert. If it does that would be a sign of stagnation and there is more to worry about. Same thing with tariffs - they can only accelerate inflation.

But again - it is all about perceptions and emotions.
